USRA Making a Difference 2008
Ask Texas Aerospace Scholar Cody Kelly about his experience as a NASA/USRA intern and he will expound upon the exciting opportunities he has had to work with the Human Systems Integrations Group, the Space Food Lab, and the CEV mockup, just to name a few. “I saw so much and did so many things that still are beyond my comprehension,” says Cody, who has dreamed of working for NASA since he was six years old.
Cody jumped at the opportunity to be involved with NASA in high school and was selected to participate in the NASA/USRA High School Aerospace Scholars (HAS) program. Like many students, Cody pipelined into a Texas Aerospace Scholars (TAS) internship after high school. He is currently attending Texas A&M University where he is majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. Cody looks forward to many more internship opportunities with NASA and gives credit to his TAS and HAS internships for “keeping his dream alive.” About his future career plans Cody simply says, “NASA has and always will remain my passion and my reason for dedication in my academic studies – to prepare for participation in the greatest undertakings of these modern times.”
